Privacy Policy

Plainsight (helpinplainsight.com) is operated by [OPERATOR LEGAL ENTITY]. This policy explains what we do — and deliberately do not do — with the information involved in using the service.

When you paste or upload a document, we transmit its text to our AI processor solely to generate your analysis, and we return the result to you. We do not store your document or its text after your analysis is produced, and we do not build a profile of you from it. Please do not upload information you are not permitted to share, including another person's sensitive information without a lawful basis.

To read and explain your document, Plainsight sends its text to Anthropic, the provider of the Claude AI models, which processes it to generate the analysis and then returns it to us. We configure this processing so that your content is not used to train models and is not retained beyond what is necessary to provide the service. Anthropic acts as our processor under its applicable commercial terms.

Like most websites, our infrastructure may briefly process basic technical data needed to serve and secure the site — such as your IP address and request metadata — including to prevent abuse and enforce rate limits. We do not use this information to identify you personally or to advertise to you.

• We never sell or rent your information.
• We never use your document to train AI models — ours or anyone else's.
• We never show you ads or share your data with advertisers.
• We never take referral kickbacks for steering you toward a paid service.
• We never accept payment from the companies whose documents we explain.

We use the limited information described above only to: provide your analysis; operate, secure, and improve the reliability of the service; and comply with the law. We do not use your document content for any purpose other than producing your result for you.

We protect information in transit using industry-standard encryption and apply reasonable safeguards to the service. No method of transmission or processing is perfectly secure, but minimizing what we keep is itself our strongest protection: the document we do not store cannot be breached.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or limit the use of personal information, and to be free from discrimination for exercising them (for example, under the California Consumer Privacy Act or the EU/UK GDPR). Because we do not retain your document or maintain accounts, there is typically little personal data to act on — but you can contact us with any request and we will respond as the law requires.

Plainsight is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect their information.

If we change how we handle your information, we will update the effective date above and, for material changes, provide appropriate notice. We will never quietly weaken the core promise at the top of this page without saying so clearly.
